The Aquatic Helper workshop is designed for young people who have an aquatic background and are interested in helping experienced teachers or coaches on poolside, at their club or during swimming lessons. It is an ideal opportunity for young people who are undertaking their Duke of Edinburgh award or those who wish to go on to take their UKCC Teaching or Coaching Level 1.
The interactive workshop provides an overview of the basic skills and knowledge young leaders or volunteers require when helping on poolside.
The Aquatic Helper presenter guide is a 45 minute online guide, which must be completed by all presenters wishing to deliver the workshop. Designed to enhance your knowledge of the workshop material it provides a modular overview of the content, and will provide you with guidance and support to ensure that the workshop is correctly registered and effectively delivered. If the presenter guide is not completed prior to delivery, this may delay the receipt of candidate certificates. Presenters are only required to complete the guide once, in order to deliver multiple workshops.
To organise an Aquatic Helper workshop, please visit www.swimming.org/asa/volunteering/i-am-a-volunteer/ for further information and to download a registration form.
Workshop resources will be delivered upon receipt of a registration form.
