The i-Learn consists of five modules, including Understanding Visual Impairment and Accessible Swimming.  Every swimmer with a visual impairment has the right to participate in the sport of their choice.  

The visually imapired friendly swimming i-Learn will assist anyone who is delivering swimming activities with support, ideas and guidance on how to include people with a visual impairment.

Please be advised the i-Learn Online CPD module is free to access and complete.  If you require a certificate there will be a charge associated. Learners must select whether they wish to have a printed certificate sent to them or not.  The cost of a printed certificate will be £15.00. Learners have the opportunity to download a virtual badge.

Online Modules are given a go live date, this date is reflected in the "start date" detailed above.

The date signifies when the learning material can be accessed from; online modules do not require a formal start date as they are open for bookings and completion of the learning 24/7.

This resource is compatitble to be used with a JAWS screen reader. 

This workshop should take you between 1 and 3 hours to complete. You can stop working on this and return to the last visited to page at any time. 

In order to become competent you must achieve a pass rate of 80% or more; your profile will not be updated to completed until this time.

There are no formal pre req's for this seminar, it is however, aimed at LV2 Teachers and school swimming teachers/volunteers who have completed the national curriculum seminars

Description

The ASA Introduction to Adult Learn to Swim e-learning seminar will provide learners with knowledge of the ASA Adult Swimming Framework to help them design and deliver a comprehensive Adult Learn to Swim programme suitable for beginners, improvers and adult stroke sessions.

Upon completion of this seminar and the post seminar evaluation you will be sent a hard copy of the Learn to Swim Framework booklet.
